Whew! Anabelle is beat! She got so many new toys she can hardly stay awake to play with them all. Anabelle Meets Jack

Earlier today Anabelle went to visit her new cousin, Jack Scallon! (I think we've decided that Jack's full name always needs to be bolded and end with an exclamation point because it sounds like "Jack Scallon, Man of Action!")

Anabelle pretended she wasn't interested in Jack (as in the above picture), but she may have been jealous of all the attention he was receiving, or she may have been trying to lull us into a false sense of security: When she would get close to Jack, she would try to grab his bright blue cap!

Anyway, here are the stats on Jack that I can remember:

Born: 7:22pm Monday, December 19, 2005.
Weight: 10 lbs (!!)
Length: 23 inches (!!!)
Eyes: No one knows! He hasn't opened his eyes yet! (Just like his mom when she was born.)

Congratulations, Fawn and Jim!

Anabelle just gained a new cousin: Jack Scallon was finally born a little after 8pm 7pm tonight, December 19th. Congratulations to the new mom and dad, and be sure to check Jack's own blog for updates once Fawn and Jim are back home and rested!

Anabelle Meets A New Friend

On Saturday Anabelle met Cameron Ojala and the two became fast friends. Cameron shared all his fun toys with Anabelle and gave her a wonderful present. Thanks for the sweater and bath toy, Cameron!!


When it was time to say good-bye, Anabelle and Cameron gave each other a BIG hug!

7 Months!

Today Anabelle is seven months old, 19 pounds heavy, and 30 inches long. She is also very good at playing ball. Here she is very excited about the fact that she's beating Mommy.

Book Club

Anabelle did her first book club tonight. The book was The Line of Beauty. Everyone was impressed with her insights, amused by her anecdotes, and dazzled by her charm.

The past few days, Anabelle has insisted on sleeping on her stomach. If I try to turn her over, she just flips over on to her tummy again. The way she sleeps with her hands over her eyes it looks like she's counting for Hide & Seek.
