Stuck!

When first learning to crawl, Anabelle managed to get herself wedged under the chair a couple times. It was kind of funny because she looked confused when she'd try to lift herself up but couldn't. We'd always rescue her before she got frustrated, though, and it hasn't happened lately so maybe she's figured out how to avoid this trap.

MILESTONE ALERT: Anabelle learned how to wave "bye bye" tonight and wouldn't stop for almost a half hour. I think the fact that we kept laughing every time she did it encouraged her. It was so cute!

Milestone Mania!

Last week Anabelle had a lot of breakthroughs all at once. In the space of a couple days, she learned how to:

• Sit up on her own from a lying position
  
• Pull herself up into a standing position
• Crawl!

We were especially excited about the last one because it seemed like Anabelle had no interest in crawling. She did things that were almost kinda close to crawling (like pulling herself along on her stomach like she was in boot camp or something) but it wasn't until last Friday that she finally got up on both hands and knees and really started moving around. Now we really need to get moving on child-proofing the house!

Happy One Month Old, Cousin Jack!

Today we went over to celebrate Jack's 1-month-old milestone. Anabelle pretended she couldn't hear Jack when he asked where his present was.
