Dance Party 2: Electric Boogaloo

Xander braved the cold weather yesterday to come over and play with Anabelle. And he even taught Anabelle some moves she hadn't learned in dance class: Breakin' it old school style!

Anabelle and Xander also had fun together:

Drawing together on the chalkboard!

Jostling for the best spot at the table!

Tickling and wrestling with each other!

Thanks for coming over, Xander! Next playdate is at your house, OK? ;)

Dance Party

Jack and Jim stopped over for an unexpected dance party last week!

How Anabelle Spends Her Days At Home

At the easel:

And on the couch:

And all in her pajamas!!

Super-Anabelle!

I swear, I didn't put her up to it! It must be genetic or something!!

Sophie's First Birthday Party

Sophie's First Birthday Party

Anabelle and Will had a really fun time at Sophie's First Birthday Party this weekend! Here are some of the highlights:

"Nonnie! A new baby to play with! It's just what I wanted!!"

"What do you mean Nonnie got that puzzle for you? I thought all gifts were for me today!"

"Mmm! Cake!!"

"Where do you want these?"

"Yep, this tastes like a good one!"

Anabelle closes out the party: "What do you mean I'm being cut off? I want another milk!!"

Happy Birthdays, Cousin Sophie and Aunt Becky!

Happy First Birthday, Sophie! And we won't reveal how old Aunt Becky is! ;-)

Anabelle the Aquatic Vet

As a marine veterinarian, Anabelle cares for all kinds of animals, whether they live on land or in the sea.

Fun with Flippers

"It's a nice outfit but the collar is a little tight."

"Do you really think these shoes go with the outfit?"

"And it's a little awkward walking in them. It's harder than wearing Mommy's heels!"

Especially Nice Work on the Beard

I think this might be the best portrait of me ever:

I love how proud Anabelle looks.

Great picture of the artist and her artwork!

Don't Ask -- Just Watch!

Thanks to Uncle Jim for putting together this silly video starring me and my family! (Click here to see one featuring Jack.)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from Anabelle and Will! Hope 2008 is a great year for everyone!!

Here are some older pictures from the photo shoot for our 2007 Holiday Card:

Thanks for the cute clothes, Bac Dong and Bac Phuong!

Christmas with the Tuongs

The Tuongs trudged through the snow to celebrate Christmas at Anabelle's house! Click the picture below to see all the photos!!

First Dance Recital

Anabelle had her first dance recital today and she did a fantastic job! You could tell that she was having a lot of fun, too, which is very important!

Here is Anabelle's group, posing for photos after they finished all of their numbers.

Back at home, Anabelle studies the tape of her performance to see how she can improve her routine. (By the way, Happy Actual Second Birthday, Jack!)

Even after a fifth viewing, Anabelle's performance still mesmerizes the audience!

Christmas with the Jakalas

Christmas came early this year on the Jakala side. Thanks for all the presents, Nonnie, Papa, Uncle Aaron, Aunt Becky, and Cousin Sophie!!!

(I'm guessing this won't be the picture Nonnie and Papa pick for their holiday card.)

Even more pictures here, including several photos taken by Anabelle. See if you can spot them all!!

Bananas for Bananas!

"Oops! Sorry, Dad! We ate all the bananas!!"

"Whachoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?"

"Whoa, that's deep, Mom. I never thought about it like that."

You Did It!

The results of Anabelle's first week of potty training:

That's one sticker for every pee-pee in the potty. Not bad, especially since it's not counting the times she went at school or away from home. We're thinking of turning it into a motivational print and selling it online.

And today was another milestone: First time going #2 in the potty!

The Artist at Work

Anabelle sure is enjoying her new art easel! (early Christmas present)

"OK, I'm just waiting for an idea. What should I draw?"

"Ooo, I got it!!"

"Do you like it? It's a snake stuck in the long grass and eating green M&M's in the jungle !"

Decorating the Tree

Step 1: Picking out the ornaments.

Step 2: Hanging them on the tree.

Step 3: Taking a picture of the beautiful results! (Picture taken by Anabelle)
