Remember The Sun?

What a wet, dreary week. Hopefully tomorrow is a little more like last Saturday. Now that was some spectacular Fall weather, as enjoyed by Anabelle at the park:

Please please please let the weather reports be right and give us some sun tomorrow!!!

Putting On A Show

Anabelle and Jack jam, while in the audience...

Funny Faces

Another one here.

Anabelle Rides a Camel

"Forget the ponies -- I want to ride a CAMEL!!!!"

Working the Fields

"Time to start up the ol' tractor and bring in the crops!"

"Don't worry, Dad -- I won't take her up past 30 mph!"

Heffalump Sighting

They're green they're blue they're red they're white

They're tall they're thin they're a wonderful sight

They tie themselves in horrible knots

They come in stripes or polka-dots

...and just as quickly as the Heffalump had appeared, it vanished up the stairs.

Perfectly Posied Purse

Really, it's the purse that makes the whole ensemble.

Next on E! True Hollywood Story

Uh oh, it looks like Anabelle's fame did go to her head, as evidenced by this security camera footage:

Not even old enough to have a permit yet, Anabelle was caught joyriding with an enormous rodent going by the obvious pseudonym of "Chuck E. Cheese."

Found in trunk of the car: a box of powdered donuts, cookies, ice cream, popsicles, chocolate, and a number of other treats Anabelle's parents said she couldn't have until she finished her dinner.

600th Post!

600 posts? Wow, has the fame gone to your head at all, Anabelle?

Anabelle? Anabelle??

Anabelle ♥ Donuts

"Donuts are tasty!"

"Donuts are fun!"

"Donuts are number one!"

Couch Chock-Full of Cute Cousins

Here are all of Nonnie and Papa's grandchildren assembled together on one couch! It's a cuteness overload!!!!

Sophie is impressed with Anabelle's nice new haircut, while Will wonders what Sophie's hand would taste like.

Sophie says "Rock On!"; Will stares at the camera; and Anabelle hams it up.

Now Will and Anabelle stare blankly at the camera (taking Dad's instruction to "look at the camera" too literally), while Sophie shows Will her "Starving Brainsucker" joke.

Finally, Anabelle decides it's time to play "Duck Duck Gray Duck." Poor Will is once again overshadowed by his outgoing older sister.

And definitely not as cute, but there are some more recent pictures of our ongoing remodel at this album (scroll to the end). Note the hardwood floors and handcut trim!

From Home Remodel

Time for a Trim

Today Anabelle went in for a trim at the Kids Hair salon. Afterwards we realized it had been almost a year since she last had it cut. Yikes! Don't report us to Social Services or the Fashion Police!

"I know summer's over, but I'm thinking something short and sassy! Something really bold!!"

"Why are you putting a Chip Clip in my hair?"

"On second thought, I want to keep my long hair. You didn't cut it all off yet, did you???"

"Well? How does it look?"

Soup IS Good Food

As a toddler, Anabelle has been known to be a bit... fussy when it comes to trying new foods. But recently she found something she really liked: Bac Thu's homemade wonton soup!

Some of Anabelle's reactions [actual quotes]:

"I love it!"

"Delicious!"

Family Picnic

Here are some pictures from the Schutta Family Picnic held a couple weeks ago.

The full album can be viewed here:

Mind Your Manners

Anabelle! What kind of face is that?

That's better!

What A Sweet Jacket!

I love the colors and design. And that hood!

Thanks for the cool coat, Bac Dong!

Back Again

Sorry for the long absence. Man, time flies when you have two kids and you're right in the middle of a major home remodel. Anyway, here are some pictures from Anabelle playing at the park earlier today. Got to get out and enjoy that nice weather while it lasts!

And remember, if you want to order any pictures you see on Anabelle's blog, go to this album and click "order prints." (Right now Picasa only gives you the option of ordering from Shutterfly or PhotoWorks.)

OK, But You're Going To Have To Take Care of It

"Why should Mommy and Daddy have all the diaper-changing fun?"

"You know, it's really hard to see poop on a brown bear."

"Dad, I changed my mind! I want you to change Brown Bear's diaper from now on!!"

Princess of the Pool

Anabelle at the State Fair

It turns out Anabelle did make it to the Minnesota State Fair after all! Here's a photo album of some of the highlights:
